Welcome to the Greater Boston Center for Healthy Communities webpage. Our trained staff provides community health planning, evaluation, and resources to support coalitions and community groups in theGreater Boston area. Using the

most up-to-date prevention research, data, curricula, and tools, the Center works with groups to develop plans to improve the health of their community. We assist groups in identifying health priorities and designing new initiatives to meet the communities health concerns.

Boston is one of nine communities nationwide that recently received a $500,000, two-year planning grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to support the creation of a comprehensive citywide plan to fight obesity and increase the availability of public space for physical activity.
